Maryland Scholar Helps Change Legislation

Three-time Maryland Carson Scholar Jacqueline Foley is not only entering her sophomore year in high school, but also has experience with the Maryland legislature under her belt.

Jacqueline testified before the Maryland Senate and House Subcommittees in March to support having a statue of Harriet Tubman placed in the US Capitol.

Her quest for long-time hero to be recognized among other great heroes and leaders is admirable.

The Carson Scholars Fund is hiring! We are looking for a new Scholarship and Communications Coordinator to join our team.

The Scholarship and Communications Coordinator (full-time position) will assist with all aspects of the scholarship program, outreach to scholar alumni, and communications and marketing to all stakeholders. The Scholarship and Communications Coordinator is the voice of the program and is required to handle PR and marketing, execute a social media marketing strategy, and manage scholar and alumni networks in concert with the Scholarship Director.

Up and Running Again!

As a special 4th of July treat, the CSF office's power came back on last night! We are up and running and working hard to catch up on anything we might have missed over the last few days. We appreciate everyone's patience.

(Please remember that if you sent us a fax or email between Friday night, June 29th and Monday, July 2nd, we might not have received it. Please resend any information from this time period.)

We'll have lots of new information about upcoming events available soon. In the meantime, here are a few updates/reminders:

CSF Power Outage and Upcoming Event Updates

Due to the storms that hit the Mid-Atlantic over the weekend, the Carson Scholars Fund's office has been out of power on and off since Friday.

Any emails or faxes sent Saturday, Sunday, or Monday should be resent to ensure that we have received them. We will respond to all messages as soon as we can. We appreciate your patience and we hope that everyone is staying cool in this heat!

Looking for something to watch tomorrow morning? Dr. Carson will be on "Fox and Friends" at 7:20 a.m. The show will air on your local Fox News Network.
