Carson Scholars Fund Has Fundraiser to Benefit Its DC Metro Chapter

A Garden Party fundraiser to benefit the DC Metro Chapter of Carson Scholars Fund was held Sunday, April 14th on Embassy Row. The event was held at the residence of Ambassador C. Boyden Gray and was jointly hosted by Ambassador Gray and Mr. Armstrong Williams, a board member of Carson Scholars Fund. Former Republican presidential candidate, Herman Cain spoke as an educational proponent and applauded the efforts of Dr. and Mrs. Carson.  Candy Carson shared highlights from the Reading Room and Scholarship Programs with the guests.  Dr.

There are 50 seats available for the January 14th presentation of THINK BIG! The presentation will be from 11:00am – 12:15pm and will be held at the Turner Auditorium.

Celebrating Ben Carson Reading Day!

Reading rooms across the nation celebrated the 7th Annual Ben Carson Reading Day on Monday, November 12th. In honor of Ben Carson Reading Day, Dr. Carson recorded a special message encouraging students to embrace books. Following the message, Dr. Carson narrated the children's book, America Is... The 5th Annual Ben Carson Celebrity Golf Tournament

On Monday, October 22nd friends of the Carson Scholars Fund met at Maryland’s premier Bulle Rock Golf Course for the Ben Carson Celebrity Golf Tournament. Bulle Rock, located in Havre de Grace, is rated the Mid-Atlantic’s only 5-star golf destination.  The picturesque autumn leaves and beautiful 70 degree weather made for a perfect day out on the golf course!

Tomorrow, Wednesday, October 17th is the last day to purchase your golf balls for our Helicopter Golf Ball Drop! By purchasing a $20 golf ball, you will have the chance to secure a 2013 Carson Scholar for the school of your choice. The Golf Ball Drop will take place during our 5th Annual Ben Carson Celebrity Golf Tournament on Monday, October 22nd at Bulle Rock Golf Course in Havre de Grace, MD.

Carson Scholars Fund’s Amy Warner and Jo Weisgal headed to Bulle Rock Golf Course last week to finalize plans for the 5th Annual Ben Carson Celebrity Golf Tournament. On a beautiful fall day they had the opportunity to view the golf course, tour the reception area, and test out the tasty dinner menu! This special course is sure to please even the occasional golfer!

2012 Golf Ball Drop

Yes, golf balls can drive, but can they fly? Find out when we drop a bucket of golf balls out of a helicopter at the 2012 Golf Ball Drop scheduled to take place at the 5th Annual Ben Carson Celebrity Golf Tournament on Monday, October 22, 2012 at Bulle Rock Golf Course in Havre de Grace, Maryland.

The Carson Scholars Fund Summer Scholar Reunion will be July 25th, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

The event will take place at the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Family YMCA on 33rd Street in Baltimore, MD.

Enjoy an evening of fun competitions, inspiring words, and networking among scholars.

All scholars and their families are welcome! More details will be announced soon on the blog and sent via email.

Banquet Season is Almost Over!

As the 2012 Carson Scholar Awards Banquets wraps up, we want to congratulate all of the scholars one more time!

We have one banquet still to come – next week in Indianapolis – and it’s SOLD OUT! We can’t wait to end the season with a bang!
