Scholar Spotlight

Ariana Krebel

Ariana is a 5th grade student at Christopher Columbus Family Academy in New Haven, CT. Ariana is a member of the Alliance Children Theater (ACT), the Columbus School Theater, the New Haven Ballet, the All City Honors Choir, the Talented and Gifted (TAG) and Student Government. She has received a number of  awards including Outstanding Reader Award, Excellence in Writing Award, Principal’s Award, Science Fair Award and New Haven Ballet Award. Ariana enjoys singing, dancing, playing squash and volunteering. She has collected clothing for those in need, has packaged and delivered lollipops and candy at school, and collects coins at school to be donated towards the Child Leukemia Centers.

2014 New Haven Awards Banquet

Sunday, April 27th marked a day of celebration in both New Haven, Connecticut and San Diego, California celebrating the New England scholars and the West Coast scholars respectively. Sunday afternoon, the New Haven and New England scholars gathered at the Box 63 restaurant, hosted by alumni scholars Gabriella Biondo, where they joined families, friends, and educators to recognize five new and six previous scholars for their humanitarian and academic excellence.

2013 New Haven Banquet Highlights:

For the sixth year, scholars, their parents, and mentors gathered to celebrate academic excellence in New Haven, CT. Having outgrown the previous venue, all were assembled in the library of Hill Regional Career High School near Yale University’s campus.
