More than 500 people convened in the Leadership Center of Morehouse College on Friday, May 6th for the 8th Carson Scholars Awards Ceremony in Atlanta. This year of the 50 scholars present, 12 were from nearby Chattanooga, TN, so Atlanta is crossing new boundaries! The festivities commenced with a lovely buffet banquet, where scholars, their families, and community leaders all mingled at elegant linen-covered tables over a delicious gourmet meal. All the guests then retired to the auditorium across the hall, while the scholars lined up for the procession. Read more »

Baltimore – The Carson Scholars Fund and the Allegis Group are pleased to announce the grand opening of the Ben Carson Reading Room at Norwood Elementary School in Dundalk, Maryland.  The grand opening ceremony will took place today at Norwood Elementary School, at 9:00 am.  To commemorate the grand opening, the school held an all-school assembly featuring Norwood students celebrating in song and dance.  After the ceremony, the ribbon cutting and reception immediately followed in the brand new Ben Carson Reading Room.  Carson Scholars Fund Co-Founder, Mrs. Read more »

On April 23rd, the Battle Creek Chapter of the Carson Scholars fund had a Carson Scholar's Reception featuring 3 Carson Scholars who shared their winning essays that were sent to CSF headquarters. Austin McKinney, Chase Williamson, and Garrett Kissinger did a marvelous job of reading their winning essay to the group and much applause were given for their wonderful achievements.
