THINK BIG and Win BIG
InWritten by admin on Apr 30,2012 - 03:41pmAs promised, we have the winners from the THINK BIG contest last night at the Maryland Awards Banquet. After counting and recounting the winners are Joseph Noszek and Samuel Newmier! Congratulations!
It seems that they teamed up and thought BIG! Together, they correctly identified 27 out of 46 THINK BIG names.
Joseph Noszek is a 2012 Carson Scholar from Delaware. Samuel Newmier is a three-time Carson Scholar from Maryland.

Dr. Carson Visits Jefferson Elementary!

A Full Weekend of Awards

Dr. and Mrs. Carson attended all three events. On Friday, Battle Creek kicked off the weekend celebrating its 10th Annual Awards Ceremony. Saturday, Chicago had its very first Awards Banquet. And Sunday, Pittsburgh held its 8th Annual Awards Banquet, which was its largest yet!

On a Mission to Serve

Just last year, Will coordinated his first project to those devastated in the tsunami in Japan. Will raised over $1,500 selling chopsticks and collecting donations at his school in Pittsburgh.
The two-time Carson Scholar didn’t stop there.
When Will learned about a tornado that struck the town of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, he held bake sales and collected donations, raising over $2,000 that helped a family who lost everything get back into a home.

Dr. Carson Captivates C-SPAN

Dr. Carson delivered the keynote speech at the 18th Annual Blackburn Institute Winter Symposium hosted by the University of Alabama. He discussed various topics from his New York Times Bestseller book such as America’s social and political climate, his personal philosophy, and overcoming obstacles.

Attention Seniors! Scholarship Payouts Are Coming Soon!
InWritten by admin on Apr 02,2012 - 04:14pmAttention Seniors! While you are finishing your last few months of high school and getting ready for college, the Carson Scholars Fund has some helpful information and reminders regarding your payouts.
In order to receive your scholarship payout, you will need to fill out a Payout Request Form. These forms have been mailed out in May to all eligible graduates.* You will complete this form with information about where you are going to school. The deadline to submit your payout information is July 6th, 2012.
