The Carson Scholars Fund and Procter & Gamble

Yesterday, Dr. and Mrs. Carson met with our friends at Procter and Gamble. P&G is to be the proud sponsor of the Ben Carson Reading Room at Jacksonville Elementary in Baltimore County. Though Procter and Gamble employees have volunteered their time and efforts over the years for the Ben Carson Scholarship Program, the Jacksonville Elementary School Ben Carson Reading Room will be P&G's first.

On Friday, September 24th, Mrs. Candy Carson; Dr. Joe Hairston, Superintendent of Baltimore County Public Schools; representatives from Procter and Gamble; parents, and community members will gather for the dedication ceremony of the Ben Carson Reading Room at Jacksonville Elementary. 

The goal of the Ben Carson Reading Room Project is to provide a safe, inviting place for children to foster an interest in reading, a lifelong learning skill to which Dr. Carson attributes his success.
