The Fourteenth Annual Carson Scholars Awards Banquet

The fourteenth annual Carson Scholars Fund Awards banquet, emceed by legendary newscaster Sam Donaldson, was held Sunday, April 11^th at Martin’s West in Baltimore. Over 400 of the best and brightest students were honored.  All met the high standards of academic excellence and positive humanitarian qualities of a Carson Scholar. Honored guest included: Tony Dungy, the former NFL coach of the 2006 World Champion Indianapolis Colts; James V. Kimsey, founding CEO and Chairman Emeritus of American Online, Inc.; and General Charles V. Krulak, 31^st Commandant of the United States Marine Corps.

The honorees addressed the scholars and shared life lessons.  Dr. Carson delivered an inspirational keynote address and then the scholars were recognized.
