Holiday Extravaganza with the Carson Scholars Fund!

That's the only way to describe the wonderful event that took place at Martin's Valley Mansion in Hunt Valley on December 7.  Mike McCrary, former Raven #99, who played in the Superbowl twice, and Dr. Ben Carson were there sharing their autographs, while Maryland Sings and The Roland Park Country School Semiquavers entertained the crowd with fun dances and gaily sang holiday music!

In typical Martin's style the decor was a perfect winter wonderland backdrop for the fun activities while the wine and cheese party food rounded out the ambience!! Several Carson Scholars greeted guests as they entered the festive event.

Rodeo Drive never looked better, as the gently used top designer clothes were displayed in a special section of the room. And Main St. held plenty of other fabulous bargains for the discreet shopper!

Dr. Carson welcomed everyone and introduced Lois Madow, the commentator for the fashion show.  Lois is the owner of Repeat Performance, a classy consignment shop in Pikesvile, and supplied the outfits for the show.

Modeling for the show, there was Marina Harrison Cooper, the only woman to win the title of Ms. Maryland in both the Miss USA and Miss America
Pageants along with her 16-month-old daughter, Olivia!  Three Carson Scholars also strutted their stuff. Dr. Judy Yu, of FXDental, who practices dentistry with flair, strode across the stage a few times! Candy Carson was in the line up as well.

And last but not least, Jennifer Lawrence, the wife of Ravens #32, Matthew Lawrence, and Adriana Birk, the wife of Ravens #77, Matt Birk, expertly exhibited the flowing styles of their designer fashions.  Both Ravens were on hand to cheer on their lovely wives!

Other unique treasures could be discovered among the gorgeous objects d'art from some local schools that were available for purchase, including elegant ceramic purses and jewel-studded wire trees.

Topping off the evening was a raffle for an exquisite fur coat, a creamy number with tan fox accents, a pair of UGG boots, and a collection of Vera Bradley bags.

It was fabulous fun for the fund, helping a lot of kids be the best they can be!
