Scholarships 2012 – Update and Preview

The 2012 scholarship season is well underway at the Carson Scholars Fund, and we wanted to share a few updates with all of our supporters.

First, a reminder that the postmark deadline for new scholarship applications is Friday, January 13th, 2012. This is a postmark deadline, and not a received-by deadline, which means the scholarship applications just have to be in the mail before the close of business on January 13th. If you have any questions or concerns, please email rebekah@carsonscholars.org. No applications can be emailed, faxed, or hand-delivered.

Second, a huge thank you to all of our volunteers who have given us their valuable time over the last few weeks – and an early thank you to everyone else who has signed up to help out over the next couple of months. If you haven’t signed up yet, there’s still time! Click here to learn more. Volunteers are needed to help us process and score applications now, and later in the spring will be needed to help us prepare for all of our awards banquets.

Speaking of awards banquets, our third point – we can’t wait for the 2012 scholar awards banquets! We plan on holding awards banquets in: Lee County, FL; Battle Creek, MI; Chicago, IL; Pittsburgh, PA; Baltimore, MD; Atlanta, GA; New Haven, CT; California; and Indianapolis, IN by the end of the year.
