Thank You Verizon!

Earlier this week, the Verizon Foundation presented a grant for $50,000 to the Carson Scholars Fund for a pilot program at T.C. Williams High School in Alexandria, VA and Gwynns Falls Elementary School in Baltimore, MD. The generous grant will provide funding for the purchase of iPads, interactive white boards, laptop computers, e-books, and literacy software at these two unique Ben Carson Reading Rooms. It will also provide for an educator to work with the students at each of these schools, to heighten their literacy experiences using the latest technology.

A check representing the grant from Verizon was presented to Dr. Carson at a recent THINK BIG forum held at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. Dr. Carson leads THINK BIG presentations for students several times each year. To read more about the Verizon Foundation grant to the Carson Scholars Fund, click here.
