Current/Previous Carson Scholars are defined as students in grades 5-12 who have previously been awarded a Carson Scholarship. If you are out of high school, please visit our alumni page for information about scholarship payouts, staying in touch and other opportunities and programs for alumni.
Previous Scholar Recognition
Previous Scholar Recognition is an elite honor that affirms the prestigious status of Carson Scholars in their pursuit of academic and career goals. Scholars meeting the application requirements will be honored with a special recognition package consisting of notification of their scholar status renewal, a commemorative pin to attach to the ribbon of their original medal, and a certificate of achievement. Schools will be sent notification of the scholar's renewed status and will continue to receive a trophy (or nameplate) to recognize the scholars who have been honored with a recognition package each year. We will also make every effort to invite previous scholars to an awards banquet. There is no monetary award connected with Previous Scholar Recognition.
The 2016 Carson Scholar Recognition application will be available in Fall 2015. The online application will be emailed to all eligible scholars (please note that this application will not be mailed to you). Scholars will have until Friday, January 8, 2016 to complete their application.
After the application deadline (on or around January 12) principals will be emailed instructions for completing the principal verification component. Principals must complete this step by Friday, January 15, 2016 in order for your application to be complete. Please make sure your principal is aware of this requirement and deadline. All applicants will be notified of their status in March.

Other News and Updates
We love to hear from our current scholars! If you have something you’d like to share, please email Katie Damaroda at email@example.com. Great things to share include community service events you are organizing, musical or other performances you are involved in, or any other accomplishment.

Keep Your Contact Information Up-to-Date!
One of our biggest challenges as an organization is “lost” scholars. If you move, you must contact us to let us know your new address and phone number – if you don’t tell us, we have no way of knowing! Similarly, if you change your email address, let us know that as well!
If we don’t have your current contact information, you will likely miss receiving important news from us about the organization, deadlines for applying for Recognition, and even deadlines for receiving your scholarship payout when you go to college. Don’t let this happen! Call us at 410.828.1005 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to tell us about any and all changes.
