The Fifth Annual Ben Carson Celebrity Golf Tournament

Join us for The Fifth Annual Ben Carson Celebrity Golf Tournament on Monday, October 22, 2012 at Bulle Rock Golf Course in Havre de Grace, Maryland. You will be teamed up for a round of golf with one of our celebrity golfers. Celebrity golfers include:
Mario Barrett
Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, actor, and model, Mario Barrett is a Baltimore native. Despite a busy schedule, Mario actively gives back to the community. In 2007 he founded The Mario Do Right Foundation, an organization dedicated to mentoring and supporting the children of substance abusing parents. Mario is currently working on his fifth album with a planned release in February 2013.
Dr. Ben Carson
Dr. Carson is director of pediatric neurosurgery at The Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions in Baltimore, MD. He is world-renowned for leading a medical team that separated West German conjoined twins in 1987, and South African vertically conjoined twins in 1997. He has refined the techniques for hemispherectomy, and has helped develop a craniofacial program for children at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Carson currently holds more than 80 honorary doctorate degrees, and is the author of five bestselling non-medical books, America the Beautiful, Gifted Hands, THINK BIG, The Big Picture, and Take the Risk. Dr. Carson was also awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2008.
Michael McCrary
Aggression and speed are two words used to describe former Baltimore Ravens defensive end Michael McCrary. After being a two-time Pro Bowler, Michael helped the Ravens bring the Vince Lombardi Trophy to Baltimore in 2000 with a victory over the New York Giants in Super Bowl XXXV. To this day, Michael holds the Wake Forest record for most sacks in a season (16) and sacks in a career (30).
Tom Matte
Tom Matte is considered one of Maryland’s best-ever athletes thanks to his 12-year pro football career with the Baltimore Colts. Because of his versatility to play multiple positions on the field, Tom was selected by the National Football League as one of the 10 most versatile players of all time in the NFL. Tom was the first player in a Super Bowl to run 100 yards, to record a 58-yard run, and to carry a ball 11 times for an average gain of 10.5 yards in a single game – the record of the highest per-carry rushing average in a Super Bowl game.
Celebrity guests aren't the only thing to look forward to at this event. The golf tournament will also include silent and live auctions. Our featured auction item is a vacation at Villa Lilly, a world-renowned Praiano luxury Italian villa that features breathtaking ocean views overlooking Positano to Capri.
