Seventh Annual Ben Carson Reading Day
On Monday, November 12th, 2012 the Carson Scholars Fund and its nearly 80 reading rooms across the country will celebrate the Seventh Annual Ben Carson Reading Day.
Ben Carson Reading Day is an annual event held in conjunction with American Education Week. Reading room schools across the country are encouraged to celebrate the day by drawing attention to the importance of reading with events such as guest readers, author visits, etc.
To celebrate, view a special recorded message from Dr. Carson encourgaging students to embrace books and the love of reading. Immediately following the message, Dr. Carson narrates the children's book, America Is... (written by Louise Borden and illustrated by Stacey Schuett). View Dr. Carson's message and story narration in the video below*.
Continue to share the joy of reading by viewing a special narration and author interview with Clare Kolat, author and illustrator of Willa the Gnome.

*The special video message from Dr. Carson will only be available during American Education Week, Monday, November 12th - Friday, November 16th.
