Mustangs are majestic creatures known for their resilience, endurance, stamina and intelligence. The Glenn Marshall Elementary School Mustangs can now develop these magnificent animals’ characteristics, thanks in part to the school’s newly created Ben Carson Reading Room. Just like these free-roaming horses, students can wander the reading room in pursuit of a book that appeals to their interests and captures their attention. With a curated collection of over 750 books and a handful of magazine subscriptions, students are sure to find something to their liking. To further entice the children to the joy of reading, the school selected a nature/camping themed room. Students can sit next to a faux campfire against the backdrop of a forest mural, complete with a friendly brown bear reading a book. John Henry Kendall sponsored the Glenn Marshall Elementary School reading room. The school, located in Richmond, Kentucky, is the third reading room sponsored by Mr. Kendall. Mr. Kendall sponsored two reading rooms in 2016, one in California and one in Arizona.
