Thanks to the Eleni and Wolfgang Gagon Trust, Edison Elementary in San Diego, CA was able to join the initiative of the Ben Carson Reading Project with their new Think Big reading room.  They transformed an empty classroom into a nature-themed, child-friendly space perfect for leisure reading. The nature theme consisted of outdoorsy area rugs, potted plants, camouflage bean bags, tree decals, as well as animal pillows and cushions. During the ceremony, Ms. Oliger’s 4th and 5th grade classes sang “What a Wonderful World” and shared the meaning of the Think Big acronym. The ceremony concluded with an inviting ribbon-cutting and tour of the room.  Edison’s reading room is the 230th reading room established by the CSF to date. Equipped with over 500 books, the reading room is able to cater to many different reading interests.
