More Than a Pin: The Power of Encouragement

The Pin It Forward campaign offers an opportunity to encourage and inspire Carson Scholars who have demonstrated their dedication to excellence by applying for the program multiple times. By sponsoring a pin, you get to pass along a message acknowledging a student’s academic achievements or congratulating them on the tremendous honor of being named a Carson Scholar for the second, third or even the ninth time. This campaign starts August 19, Mrs. Carson’s birthday, and continues through September 18, Dr. Carson’s birthday.

As a 4-time Carson Scholar, I’ve always found it rewarding to be recognized for my efforts, both inside and outside the classroom. The Pin It Forward campaign naturally adds to that recognition, providing not only a physical memento, but words that can have a lasting impact. A message that scholars can fall back on and use as motivation to work hard, grow and become the greatest versions of themselves they can be. Consider sponsoring a pin and being another encouraging voice in a scholar’s success story!
