What You Need to Know About Recommendation Letters for the Carson Scholarship

For students applying for the Carson Scholarship, at least one recommendation letter is required with the application.  The letter can come from any educator/person who can speak to the following:

• Student’s leadership ability and impact in the school/classroom
• Student’s scholastic work ethic, motivation and achievements

Applicants must send the request for a letter through the application portal.  The educator will then receive an email with a unique link to upload the letter to the student’s application.

Recommendation letters are confidential and are not viewable by the applicant.

Letters are due, along with the application, by 11:59 pm ET on Sunday, January 11, 2026.
