“Reading is the most important thing….it opens doors.” That’s the message being taught by Principal Carmen Holmes at Windsor Hills Elementary/Middle School in Baltimore City. With a location adjacent to the cafeteria, students are encouraged to visit the Reading Room upon finishing their lunch. Frequently, the safety patrol can be found reading books to the younger students.
