A Summer of Books, Imagination, and Discovery Awaits
Looking for ways to keep your students or children excited about reading this summer? Reading should be more than just another assignment; it should be an adventure that sparks imagination, curiosity, and joy. If you’re searching for the perfect way to keep young readers motivated, learning, and turning pages all summer long, look no further!
This summer Second Lady Usha Vance is inviting students in grades K-8 to jump into her Summer Reading Challenge and make this summer one that is full of adventures and stories! From June 1 through September 4, students who read 12 books can earn prizes and a chance to visit Washington D.C. From fiction to history, biographies to mysteries, every book opens the door to something new — and every book counts.
Ready to begin? Visit WH.gov/read to sign up and learn more. We encourage you to cheer on the young readers in your life and share this opportunity to help them stay inspired, curious, and connected through reading all summer long.
