Meet the 2026 Hall of Fame Inductees
The Carson Scholars Fund is thrilled to announce the induction of five new members into its Hall of Fame. Members of the 2026 class are leaders, mentors, researchers, advocates and students who are using their talents to create meaningful change in their communities and beyond. These Carson Scholar alumni exemplify what it means to be a Carson Scholar and we are proud to welcome them into the Hall of Fame.
This year’s members join 51 fellow alumni in the Hall of Fame and will be honored at the CSF’s annual awards banquets this spring.
Shania Grant is a 2-time Carson Scholar who first won in 2023. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Florida Atlantic University, where she was selected as the sole recipient of FAU’s Student Talon Award out of a pool of 32,000. Shania completed her degree just six months after receiving her high school diploma. Now, she’s completing her Master of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice. Shania has served on the Criminal Justice Commission of Palm Beach Couty as its youngest member to date. There, she has mentored students in research and college readiness, while simultaneously working to expand arts access for underserved youth. She shared with us that if she could go back in time, she’d tell her 10-year-old self to “own who she is and show up in every space unapologetically as herself.”
Natalee Huber, a 2018 Carson Scholar, is currently attending The George Washington Law School after earning both her bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in forensic and legal psychology. During her second full-time internship with NCIS, she discovered her dream job: to be an in-house counsel lawyer, guiding agents as they complete cases. Outside of work, she is the founder of Natalee’s Song, a nonprofit she began as a child to support children and families affected by leukemia. Through fundraising, hospital engagement and service initiatives, Natalee has spent years honoring her late best friend, Rachel’s legacy while making a lasting difference in the lives of others. She let us in on her perspective on achieving success: “…success is not only about what I achieve, but about who I become in the process.”
Adam Mohiuddin, a 2-time Carson Scholar who first won in 2019. He is currently pursuing a PhD and serves as Head of AI Quality at Commure, where his work helps improve clinical documentation and operational workflows for thousands of physicians through responsible artificial intelligence. He is also the founder of Partners Through Education, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting disadvantaged students through mentorship, and encouragement to believe in themselves. Adam’s mantra is: “Living life to the fullest means choosing growth over comfort, embracing challenge and discipline, and striving each day to become someone capable of making a meaningful difference for others.”
Owen Nash, a 2022 Carson Scholar, is studying biochemistry at the University of Florida and plans to become a physician. He is the founder of The MCAT Society, a student-led initiative created to make medical school preparation more collaborative, accessible and affordable for aspiring doctors. Owen is also passionate about mentorship, healthcare access and supporting vulnerable populations through both research and service. When asked what he would tell his 10-year-old self, he shared, “Be yourself – sooner.”
Julia Scarton is a 2022 Carson Scholar. Currently, she is pursuing a combined master’s degree in international business and a bachelor’s degree in marketing with a minor in Spanish at the University of Florida. A natural storyteller and mentor, Julia has led and supported others through roles in student leadership, client services, fitness instruction and ambassador programming. She also launched The Joy Project with Julia, which is a podcast centered on authenticity, connection and encouraging others to seek and spread joy. Julia shared her most valuable mantra for success with us: “J.O.Y., to me, stands for ‘Just Own Yourself’. Once you embrace what makes you unique, only then can you experience life’s fullness.”
The Hall of Fame was created in 2016 as part of the CSF’s 20th anniversary celebration to honor individuals whose lives and careers are integral to the Fund’s history. Its mission is to recognize outstanding Carson Scholar alumni who embody our mission: those who have demonstrated success and excellence in the work force, excelled academically, and/or made significant contributions to their communities.
