Ryan Miller
Senior Vice President
CBRE | Advisory Services
What is your background? What is your current occupation?
I grew up in Eldersburg, where I attended Liberty High School before going to the University of Maryland – College Park to study Business Management. After graduating from college, I immediately entered the commercial real estate industry as an intern at Manekin. Since starting at Manekin, I have focused on office tenant representation, working along my now Business Partner, George Santos. About a year ago, we joined the Baltimore office for CBRE after opening a Baltimore Office for Savills and spending almost 8 years at the firm.
When and why did you join the CSF Board of Directors? Do you have a favorite part of being a member?
I joined the CSF Board about 3 years ago. Ben Carson Jr. has been a good friend for over a decade therefore I had supported CSF through events, donations, and partnerships for almost a decade before becoming a board member. After many years of him asking if I would consider joining the board, I agreed to become part of CSF 2.0 as we look toward the next chapter as an organization. I was looking for a nonprofit to champion as a board member therefore it was the proverbial no-brainer for me to get involved with CSF as reading and academic excellence is paramount as a young student.
What’s the last book you read?
Where the Crawdads Sing (Saw the movie as well!)
What would be the theme song of your life right now?
Thomas Rhett – Things Dads Do……. Ten months ago, I became a dad as my wife gave birth to my son Elliott who is now 10 months old. It has been an amazing journey learning to become a dad and watching him grow, SOOO quickly!
