On October 1, 2007 Carnahan High School of the Future opened its Ben Carson Reading Room. It was the eighth Ben Carson Reading Room opened in 2007.
As of the May 2012 Reading Room Report, “Teachers reported that more students were pushing themselves to read past their previous personal goals. More students were engaged in reading for pleasure than in previous years.”
