2013 DC Carson Scholars Honored at Banquet

Eleven DC-area Carson Scholars were honored at the 17th Annual Maryland Awards Banquet on Sunday, April 7, 2013.  This year’s scholars continue to impress us, and we are very proud of the remarkable work they have achieved.

Carson Scholars Fund Has Fundraiser to Benefit Its DC Metro Chapter

A Garden Party fundraiser to benefit the DC Metro Chapter of Carson Scholars Fund was held Sunday, April 14th on Embassy Row. The event was held at the residence of Ambassador C. Boyden Gray and was jointly hosted by Ambassador Gray and Mr. Armstrong Williams, a board member of Carson Scholars Fund. Former Republican presidential candidate, Herman Cain spoke as an educational proponent and applauded the efforts of Dr. and Mrs. Carson.  Candy Carson shared highlights from the Reading Room and Scholarship Programs with the guests.  Dr. Ben Carson concluded with remarks about the state of education in America.
