"I think I’m going to faint," that was one of the reactions from a student as he took his first glimpse into the Ben Carson Reading Room at Meadowvale Elementary School in Havre de Grace, Maryland. The festivities started with all of the students gathering in the gymnasium for an all school assembly. Harford County Executive, David Craig attended the ceremony and congratulated the children on their new room and encouraged them to continue to do their academic best. Meadowvale students performed "An Extraordinary Life," a skit about Dr. Carson’s life. After the assembly, it was off to the Reading Room for the official opening.
 
Inside the Meadowvale Reading Room, students are surrounded by a mural depicting a peaceful meadow. As horses gently graze, tall trees beacon students to curl up with a good book. Comfy bean bag chairs and books GALORE are available for the students to explore.
 
Thank you Stack & Store Mini Storage for providing the funds to create this room. Through your generosity, five Reading Rooms have been established in Harford County, Maryland: Edgewood Elementary, Hall’s Cross Roads, Havre de Grace Elementary, Havre de Grace Middle and Meadowvale Elementary.
